Rock Your Neighbours es un festival cuya finalidad es traer de vuelta al menos por un dia el sonido 80's que reino el mundo alguna vez! Desde Sleaze y Glam Metal a Heavy Metal y hasta Power metal, el motivo principal es entretener a la gente, especialemente a los adictos como yo al sonido 80's y el metal en general!!! Este festival es de los pocos que se hacen en esa parte de Europa, es por eso que me llamo mucho la atencion, sobretodo al enterarme quien lo organizaba, alguien cercano a mi!. Hace poco hable con el organizador Riky, quien es bajista de una banda de sleazy glam alla en Rumania... Algo mas de informacion! sobre este festival, por si estan por Rumania en esas fechas: El festival se lleva a cabo el 13th of September. Ahora mas en la entrevista asi que leanla xD ! What u have told me so far it is great!.
First of all, please tell us a little bit about the glam sleazy hard rock scene in Romania? And about u and ur taste in music xD
Well, sadly, the glam/sleazy scene in Romania is not that big, I mean, there are a few glammers in every city(few older guys and few young heartbreak kids). There are two types of "music" dominating in Romania, black metal(and all that other stuff, doom, gothic...) and a romanian "genre" called "manele"...that is the worst thing that ever happened in the history of music...really, I'm not kidding!!WORST thing ever!!! So, Romania is seriously lacking of some great old school bands, but we're doing our best to teach the romanian crowd some quality music! Personaly, I love the 80s!I love hair bands! I love glam/sleaze bands...but I like the new wave too, especially Crashdiet, VOJ and Dirty Penny!
How come u started thinking about organizing a festival!!!???!!!
As I said, the glam/sleazy scene is not that big, so I said to myself "What the hell!?! I'll give 'em some good stuff!"
What are the bands that have confirmed already?
This is the list : Pleasure Addiction(France)
Nazty Tricks(Hungary)
Twin Six(Hungary)
She-Wolf(Romania)
Fireball(Romania, the band I play in)
Inedit(Romania)
Probably, this is the final band list.
How did u get in contact with them?
I wrote them on myspace, we did some talkin' and agreed to do it!
All the guys and girls from the bands and managements are great human beings, it is a real pleasure working with them!
Was it easy to get the sponsors for this festival?
Actually, it was tuff, I still need some money...I will get them, but it's tuff 'cause there are few people willing to help out.
Please tell us the prices and stuff we need to know to go to the festival? And the payment stuff too:
The price of one ticket is 1.5 EURO and 5 RON(for romanians). Tickets will go out for sale in about one month. You will be able to order from the myspace page, from the hi5 page of the festival, or simply from rockyourneighboursmail@yahoo.com
I'll get some great and cheap places overnight for people coming in from other countrys.
It'll be a great show! I promise you !!
I'll send you a flyer as soon as we will finish them!
